Last night, my girlfriend and wife of 25 years and I enjoyed a dinner date and watching “God’s Not Dead.” A great evening, movie, and call to bold faithfulness.
I recommend this movie for Christ followers and seekers alike.
The movie exposes parallel stories to show God’s power using faithful servants to change lives. The cost of obedience is obvious. A freshman philosophy student pitted against an atheist professor shakes people’s lives for eternity. Hope and hopelessness show the opportunity and consequences of free will.
For the seeker, it is a call to God. For the believer, it is a call to bold faithfulness. The movie challenges us to ask the basic God questions: Who is God? Is He still relevant? How will I respond? At what cost?
